Frequently Asked Questions

“What are your hours?” - We are currently open on Thursdays; 1-4PM and Saturdays; 3-5PM. Please note, we are closed most holidays and or long weekends.

”Is there an admission fee?” - Yes, we charge 2$ for children and 5$ for adults.

”Is there a discount for Royal Canadian Legion Members, Veterans or Current Armed Forces Members?” - Not at this current time, we are currently in the process of working on updated pricing system; at the moment the only “discount” we give is a free pass to our Museum Members; if you are interested in becoming a Museum Member please check out our Support Us page.

”Are you affiliated with the Royal Canadian Legion 362 upstairs at all?” - Yes and no. We are a separately run incorporation, while many of our members are also members of the Legion upstairs our two organizations have separate staff. We do, in close collaboration work with the Legion and give them the highest possible thanks for their hospitality.

”I had some questions regarding accessing a family members service record” - We would recommended searching on “Library and Archives Canada”, they have resources regarding many past service records.

”I had some questions regarding some family heirlooms/artifacts” - If you are looking to donate some articles please feel free to bring them in, our friendly staff are always eager to help you out. If you are asking about previously donated artifacts; it may or may not be on display, please feel free to ask; keep in mind our staff may or may not be able to help.

”Has something changed since the last time I was here? It looks different.” - Yes, we are always in the process of updating our exhibits, so some stuff may move, be updated or may be taken back into storage to make room for other exhibits. We are sorry if you missed a previous display, but please come down regularly to see the changes.

”I had some questions regarding tours?” - Please check out our Guided Tours section for more information.

”I had some questions regarding getting involved” - If you are looking to support us through financial donations, or to become a member and or get more directly involved as a volunteer please check out our Support Us page.
